Red Cross Blood Drive

Special Town Meeting Election

There will be a Special Town Meeting Election on June 12, 2018, to elect a Selectman, Assessor & Overseer of the Poor, for a 2 year term. Nomination papers are now available at the Town Clerk's Office, 425 Sokokis Ave. The nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk by May 1, 2018


You are invited to a FREE Turkey Dinner on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Dinner begins at 4:45 PM at the Bonny Eagle High School Cafeteria. There will be Entertainment and Door Prizes. Pleas RSVP at 642-2480 or 929-3831. This meal will be served by Students and Administrator of MSAD 6.

In collaboration with surrounding Towns, trips and activities are being organized for our senior citizens:

*Wednesday, April 25, 2018,Oxford Casino, $25 includes luxury round trip transportation, $10 in slot play, a casino cookie and hourly raffles.
*Wednesday, May 30, 2018, Maine Duck Tours, $40 includes luxury round trip transportation and your duck tour of the Old Port on land and Sea!,
*Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Maine Botanical Gardens, $40 includes luxury round trip transportation and a docent led tour of the gardens.

Committee Openings

The Town of Limington is looking for someone to serve on the Planning Board, the Financial Advisory Committee, and Old Town Hall Preservation Committee. Please inquire at the town office.

Upcoming Meetings

Selectmen meet Thursdays at 7:00 pm.

The Limington Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 7:00 pm at the Limington Municipal Complex. the purpose of the meeting will be to hold a Public Hearing on the Final Plans for an 8 lot subdivision for Millturn Estates. the subdivision is located at Map R8, Lot 21.1 off Millturn Road. the applicant is Dearborn Brothers, LLC, 999 Narragansett Trail, Buxton, ME. A copy of the application is available at the Town Office for public review.

Need General Assistance?

General Assistance

The hours for the General Assistance Office are Tuesdays 3:00P.M.- 5:00P.M. An application may be picked up at the Town Clerks office during regular business hours. The application must be filled out and signed before meeting with the GA Administrator. Also be prepared to show proof of income (pay stubs, Social Security/disability, unemployment, etc.) for everyone in the household and receipts of how all income was spent (heating, electricity, rent, food, prescriptions, telephone, cable, internet, pet expenses, alcohol and tobacco expenses, etc.) If you prefer you may download and print the application located here.

Ambulance Insurance Available

Limington residents are advised to take advantage of the subscription agreement made available by the EMS. Although nobody wants to think about a trip to the hospital, an ambulance run can easily run up to $1,000. Even if you have insurance, it might only cover part of the cost. A small cash outlay right now can buy a lot of peace of mind.

This years' coverage runs from April 1st (unless you sign up later than that date), through March 31st 2019, so it is advisable to secure coverage as soon as possible.
