The Moy-Mo-Då-Yo Oversight Committee Needs You!
The Committee needs two Alternates and seven Limington residents to serve on the board. There are currently three Limington residents and one non-resident. Howard Allen Will be stepping down next year after many years of outstanding service. At such time, the Committee will elect a new chairperson.
In a nutshell, the Committee meets ten times a year monthly, for about two and a half hours or less. Typical business consists of budget management, policy review and improving the recreational opportunities. The Moy-Mo-Då-Yo beach facility and Summer camp have evolved into a beloved resource that actually pays for itself. The new boat ramp and parking area promise an even brighter future, but we need some residents to step up to the plate or we might lose this recreational opportunity. There is more information at the recreation page, but if you want to inquire further, or are ready to join, drop by or call Town Hall (637-2171) or pay a visit to the selectmen Wednesday afternoons or Thursdays after 6 pm.
