Town of Limington, Maine is seeking Code Enforcement Officer
LIMINGTON, MAINE (Census population 3,659) is seeking an experienced Code Enforcement Officer to administer and enforce all zoning, building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and energy codes and all other pertinent codes and ordinances. Applicants should have a working knowledge of generally accepted proper construction materials and methods in building, plumbing and electrical work, local Zoning & Subdivision Regulations, Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code (MUBEC), National Fire Protection Association (N.F.P.A.) codes, and all land use ordinances. A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry required, and at least 2 years’ experience as a municipal Code Enforcement Officer preferred. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential.This position is funded for 30-40 hours per week. Job description is attached here

Dollar General Public Hearing on December 1st
The Town of Limington Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Limington Municipal Complex. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss a Conditional Use Permit seeking approval for a 9,000+ sq. ft. retail business (to be known as Dollar General). The applicant is Lisciotti Development and the location is part of Map R14, Lot 18, 184 Ossipee Trail. A copy of the application is available at the Town Office for public review.
Dollar General plans to open a location at he corner of Sokokis Avenue and Route 25. Representatives fom the developer will be at the public hearing. The public is invited to attend, and to study prior to the hearing the following two documents available for download: Limington Dollar General Site Plans, and Limington Dollar General Rendering.

The Christmas Toy Box is up and running
Applications are being accepted from Limington families who need assistance to purchase gifts for their children.Applications are available at the Town Office. Please pick up asap and return to the office by December 4th. Likewise, it is once again time to help the needy and feel the satisfaction of sharing a little Christmas joy with our neighbors. If you are interested in helping Limington families in need at Christmas, gift ideas are available on cards at the Town Office. Just pick one or more up, purchase the gift specified on the card, and return it unwrapped to the box in the hall. We are also accepting monetary donations. We are going to deliver to the children who attend HB Emery backpacs filled with nutritional, healthy foods and drinks.
We need community members willing to:

2.- Pack the backpacks prior to delivery to the school.
3.- Attend our weekly meetings, Fridays at 9:00 A.M., at the Municipal Complex.
